65. LYNNE & JEFF'S BUSINESSES
Our first business was 'The Gallery' which was a Coffee & Crafts Shop. We produced home baking and snacks.
Later we did picture framing so bought The Old Red School and the shop in Elgin.
The first few photographs show the shop front, then Lynne at different positions in The Gallery.
The third photo shows our daughter Nicola who came to work with us in her Gap Year at the counter.

An aerial photograph of Bogmoor showing The Old Red School (Fochabers Frames & Gallery) .
The school is the largest building in the village - red sandstone with high roof.

'The Old Red School' at Bogmoor near Fochabers in 1889 approx.

The Old Red School was closed in about 1962 and some years later became a chicken hatchery.
After about 15 years (?) that business closed down and the building lay empty until we bought it in the late 1980s.
The first two images show the derelict state of the building before we brought it back to life.
A year later we bought the shop in South Street, Elgin.
The next few images show the school with some of our business vans and the last large sign that we had erected. The frontage to the shop in Elgin then follows.

At work - Irene, Lynne & Jeff and Sandy. We put a large mirror into this frame which had been hand made.

Lynne & Jeff at work!!
Then a series of photographs showing the gallery from different positions followed by just a few of the different items we framed.
The last few images show the Jack Vettriano pictures framed to compliment the dining room of a local hotel - it was interesting getting the colours just right.

Deep 3D Framing an item - here a military plaque and a 'hat'.
