11. JEFF - ARMY (when in Civvies)

Jeff on the banks of the River Severn at Beachley Barracks, Chepstow aged about 17.

Jeff with his box camera during a touring holiday in France & Spain, taken with a small group of friends in a minibus in about 1962

Jeff in King's Chapel, Gibraltar when organist (they didn't have organists gown so used choir robes)

Jeff horse riding near La Linea, Spain (Gibraltar in the distance).
A small group of us enjoyed going over the border to do this, spend time on the beach and in the beach cafe. Unfortunately the horses didn't seem to speak English !!

Jeff exploring Gibraltar and spending time on the beach - I tended to be a bit of a loner and enjoyed time with my camera.

Jeff on the boat (Mons Calpe?) to Tangiers where he spent several holidays with some 'interesting' moments.

Jeff on his Clerk RE B1 Course at Kitchener Barracks (?) Chatham, Kent and then studying in his room with a friend.

Jeff in his MQ in Osnabruck preparing to go to a fancy dress ball with German friends dressed as a convict.

Jeff's identity photograph in about 1980

Grew a beard on leaving the army and becoming self employed.
Sold my old Mess Dress Uniform to a local chap
newly promoted in the TA (RE Sqn at Lossiemouth)
so put it on for one last time - my old RSM would have gone bonkers!
